    Beschreibung

    Nach dem Mord an John F. Kennedy wurde sein Vize Lyndon B. Johnson im November 1963 an Bord der Air Force One zum 36. Präsident der Vereinigten Staaten vereidigt. Johnson kämpfte fortan engagiert und gegen große Widerstände im Land und in der eigenen Partei dafür, in seiner Amtsperiode den Civil Rights Act durchsetzen zu können, und damit Schwarzen endlich die vollen Bürgerrechte zu gewähren.
