    Beschreibung

    Martin Ellingham beendet nach einem traumatischen Erlebnis seine erfolgreiche Karriere als Chirurg und wird Hausarzt in dem Fischerdorf Portwenn. Schon bald stellt der unter einer sozialen Phobie leidende Ellingham fest, dass die Dorfbewohner nicht nur in seine Praxis kommen, wenn sie krank sind: Doc Martin übernimmt seine Praxis wieder. Er will zumindest so lange bleiben, bis ein vernünftiger Nachfolger gefunden ist. Luisa bittet er, mit ihrem gemeinsamen Sohn bei ihm einzuziehen ...
