Beschreibung
Der New Yorker Pizzabote Fry fällt Silvester 1999 in einen kyrostatischen Tiefschlaf und wacht tausend Jahre später in Neu New York wieder auf: Mom hat den neuen Robotertyp 1-X erfunden und möchte nun, dass alle anderen Roboter ein Upgrade erfahren. Da damit eine wesentliche Veränderung verbunden ist, die Bender ablehnt, flüchtet er auf eine einsame Insel. Dort trifft er auf drei weitere Leidensgenossen. Schon bald kommen die Roboter in der stressfreien Umgebung auf merkwürdige Ideen ...
