    In der Sendung werden besonders interessante Fälle der US-amerikanischen Polizei vorgestellt. Bei allen polizeilichen Ermittlungen sind die ersten 48 Stunden nach dem Verbrechen von besonders großer Bedeutung. Sollte es nicht gelingen, innerhalb dieser Zeitspanne einen Hinweis auf den oder die Täter zu finden, dann verringert sich die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass das Verbrechen aufgeklärt wird.
