    Beschreibung

    1995 untersuchen die Ermittler Rust Cohle und Martin Hart den Ritualmord an einer Prostituierten. 17 Jahre später taucht eine Leiche auf, die an diesen Fall erinnert, und die Männer, die inzwischen beide nicht mehr für die Polizei arbeiten, werden von der Behörde gebeten, die Ereignisse von damals zu rekapitulieren. Der Fall wird in Rückblenden und durch die Aussagen von Cohle und Hart erzählt.
