    Beschreibung

    Die ehemalige Polizistin Carrie Wells (Poppy Montgomery) hat eine besondere Gabe: Sie ist eine von wenigen Menschen mit dem hyperthymestischen Syndrom, wodurch sie sich an sämtliche Ereignisse ihres Lebens erinnern kann. Jede Unterhaltung, jeder Glücksmoment und jede schmerzhafte Erfahrung ist ihr in allen Details bewusst - mit einer Ausnahme: Sie kann sich an nichts erinnern, was mit dem Mord an ihrer Schwester, der Jahre zurückliegt, in Zusammenhang steht. Carrie versucht, ihre Vergangenheit hinter sich zu lassen, doch als sie Zeugin eines Mordfalls wird, begegnet sie ihrem Exfreund und ehemaligen Kollegen, Al Burns (Dylan Walsh), Detective am New York Police Department. Bald darauf stellt sie ihr überragendes Erinnerungsvermögen wieder in den Dienst der Polizei.
